June 2004 Devon and Cornwall Trips |

Who: The Smiths & The Peters Ga, Lucci and the boys visit us, so where do you go for a great day out? Friday - Cardew Teapot Factory, the House of Marbles and finish off in The Devon Guild of Craftsmen of course Saturday - Portwrinckle, a fine day of swimming, snorkling and getting very sunburned, I spent so much time in the sea we didn't get many photos of that day. Sunday - Down to see Sylvia and Phil working in their barn conversion, didn't remember the camera at all, so no photos of us 'boys' breaking rocks and shifting monster slabs. Our bit of work done Sylvi took us on a tour of their estate, not many people have the river Tide as a border to their land! |

After the Cardew Teapot Factory we go for a walk in their woodland wonderland. Crossing this raised walkway, not many 'gaters to be seen though! |

Is it a bird? is it a Plane? On it's a Ry Fly By. We do find some rope swings to have a go on though. |

Oh back to the woodland walk, this pond had a couple of clumps of tadpoles on a feeding frenzy |

How's that for a marble run, this one filled the end wall of the House or Marbles and used pool balls instead of marbles, very good. |

We jump seamlessley on to Saturday down on Portwrinckle beach. It was fine day with some of that odd sea mist drifting in, giving that false sense of security from sunburn. But don't worry it was only the pink skin tourists who got burned, Ga, Lucci, Jack and Sam! us peasents with our leather like skin were ok. ps did you spot that we'd picked up Adam on the way? |
